CRA approves commercial property improvement grants for Cleveland Ave. properties
FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 22, 2024) – The Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) recently approved two Commercial Property Improvement Matching Grants for the Cleveland Avenue redevelopment area.
The first grant was awarded to RTTHREEM LLC., located at 2809-2811 Cleveland Ave. in the not-to- exceed amount of $75,260.45. The funds will be used to improve the parking lot, install new fencing, landscaping, new signage and to replace doors and windows.
The second grant was approved for Jassas Capital LLC.,located at 2431 Cleveland Ave. in the not-to- exceed amount of $200,000.00. Jassas Capital plans to use the funds for exterior painting, re-milling, repaving and sealcoating the parking lot, installing new fencing, landscaping and new windows.
With these two grants, $91,545.74 remains available in the Cleveland CPI Matching grant budget and $493,790 remains in the Cleveland Signage Program.
The CRA Commercial Property Improvement Grant Program is a matching grant for commercial property owners and businesses within Fort Myers redevelopment areas. The maximum potential grant available for a project in Tier I is 75 percent of the total eligible expenditure, with a maximum award of $50,000. The Fort Myers CRA has offered commercial preservation incentives/ grant programs since 2010 and grant awards are based on the availability of funds.
